Study & Application

Bible study is a key element of an individual's spiritual growth. Opportunities for study and discussion are available throughout the week in our youth ministries, from our traditional Sunday School on Sunday mornings, to our Wednesday morning bible study for high school students, with some elements tossed in during our UMYF on Sunday evenings. Check it out!

Contact Amy Shreve at ashreve@champaignfumc.org with any questions.

Christian Education (Sunday School)

Meets: Sunday Morning 9:30-10:45
Where: Youth Rooms (G, H, I)
Questions: Contact Rev. Mary Brady at mbrady@champaignfumc.org

Each Sunday from 9:30-10:45, youth at First United Methodist are encouraged to attend Sunday School. Youth meet together from 9:30-9:40 in the Youth Area for announcements, snacks and prayer. We then divide according to age groups for the duration of the hour. Sixth and seventh graders meet in room G, eighth graders meet room I, while high school students meet in room H. Please join us as we study God's word.

Confirmation Experience

Meets: Sunday Morning, 9:45-10:45
Where: Youth Gathering Room (I)
Questions: Contact Rev. Mary Brady at mbrady@champaignfumc.org

The Confirmation Journey in the Faith at FUMC is open to all 8th, 9th and 10th graders (unless already confirmed). It is an awesome experience that includes learning the basics of Christian belief and Methodist history, service opportunities, field trips and community-building (fun stuff!). Finally, participants are offered the opportunity to join FUMC by professing their Christian faith.

High School Bible Study @ Panera

Meets: Academic Year, Thursday Afternoons, 5:02-6:17
Questions: Contact Amy Shreve at ashreve@champaignfumc.org

All high school students are welcome to join us at Panera on Kirby Ave. for fellowship and Bible study. We are currently studying the Book of Proverbs.
