How Do I Get Involved?

All youth sixth grade through twelfth grade, church members and non-members are welcome to participate in FUMC Youth Ministry activities. Call Amy at 356-9078 or email her at ashreve@champaignfumc.org with any questions.

 

Academic Year

Registration & Costs

Any student participating in any one of our Youth Ministry programs, including UMYF (United Methodist Youth Fellowship), Youth Covenant Group (YCG), and Sunday School, is asked to register so that we can better meet the needs of youth.

Registration is FREE (although donations to the Youth Ministry are gratefully accepted)! However, this free registration does not cover our costs for trips, retreats, and some other special events that the Youth Leadership Team has planned.

Scholarships & Financial Aid

NO student will be turned away from any activity in our Youth Ministries for financial reasons. Financial assistance or scholarships will be arranged on the basis of need. All requests for assistance will, of course, remain confidential. Call Amy at 356-9078 or email her at ashreve@champaignfumc.org.

Forms

All youth must have a Medical Release Form on file to leave the church building for an activity. Forms can be obtained from Amy.

Pictures

Students and parents will have digital pictures taken during registration for inclusion in our pictorial directory.

Sign-Ups

During registration, students may sign up to be part of a Youth Covenant Group. Information about service, worship, and leadership opportunities--as well as field trips and retreats--will be provided.

Parent & Guardian Involvement

Parents and guardians are expected to donate a portion of their time to our Youth Ministries in some fashion. There are a variety of opportunities from which to choose based upon your particular talents and interests. See Adult Participation Opportunities for a list from which to choose. Your support for this awesome ministry will help assure its success!
