This Month...

May

  • May 6, 5:45-7:45 pm- UMYF Finale, party at Clark Park. Grab your friends and come out to celebrate another fun year with a cook out, games and music.
  • May 4-5, 4pm- Confirmation Retreat.
    8th graders head to the Midwest Distribution Center & Knight’s Adventure Park to end the confirmation year with service and fun.
  • May 11, 5-8:30 pm- Mother’s Day Childcare
    Give Mom’s the night off and help watch their children. Donations will go towards summer mission trips. Bring $, we’ll catch a movie afterwards.

  • May 12, 1:30-4:30 pm- Mother/Daughter Tea
    Celebrate 150 years of FUMC. Bring your mom and enjoy a fashion show of wedding dresses through the ages and a wedding reception, complete with cake.

  • May 19, 9am-Noon- empty tomb workday
    We’re gearing up for summer mission trips, join us in service and meet at empty tomb.

  • May 19, 5pm- Confirmation Rehearsal
    Bring your parents and come for a quick run through of the service and dinner. 6th & 7th graders, come help with dinner.
  • May 20, 11am- Confirmation!
    Celebrate the membership of the 8th graders into the church.
  • May 20, 6-8 pm- Buffalo Wild Wings! Come have dinner and some fun at Buffalo Wild Wings in Champaign.

June

  • June 2, 9am-Noon- empty tomb workday
    We’re gearing up for summer mission trips, join us in service and meet at empty tomb.

  • June 9, 10am- Amy's moving! 

          Come on over and help me out:) 

  • June 13-16, Middle School Service Project
    Join us in Indianapolis as we serve with the Fletcher Community Place and take in a WNBA game. Cost is $65 and is due by May 31.

  • June 16, 9am-Noon- empty tomb workday
    We’re gearing up for summer mission trips, join us in service and meet at empty tomb.

  • June 18-22, Wonderful Week (VBS)
    Come help out! Be a crew leader, help lead songs, play games, or make snacks. It’s a great time and you’ll be a light of Christ to the children.

  • June 20, 12-3:30- Pizza & Putt Putt
    After VBS we’ll head to Monical’s for pizza and then putt putt. Bring $10.

  • June 21-24, Book Sale & Set-Up
    We’re selling books to raise money for our summer mission trip. All are welcome to help out and shop:)

  • June 23, Cardnial’s Game & Mercy Me Concert
    Bring your whole family and head to St. Louis on the bus! Check for the registration form in the Messenger.

July

  • July 5-7, Kings Island & Spirit Song
    Two fun-filled days at Kings Island PLUS Spirit Song Music Festival with artists Kutless, Jeremy Camp, Hawk Nelson, Newsboys and more! Cost is $90 and is due by June 17. You've got to particpate in a June service activity.
  • July 8, 10am- ASP Commisioning 

           Our congregation with pray for our work and send us    

           out with their blessing.

  • July 8, 4pm- ASP Construction Workshop

                     5:30 pm-ASP Send-Off Picnic (parents & families

          are encouraged to attend)  At the Walter's House.
