FUMCC Day Care
FUMCC is equipped to care for children from 6 weeks until they enter kindergarten. Both full time day care and weekday preschool are available.

Daily Schedule
At the Center, each classroom adheres approximately to the following daily schedule:
7:30-8:30 am-- Arrival
8:30 am -- Breakfast
11:30 am
-- Lunch
12:30-2:30 pm -- Nap/quiet time
Mid-afternoon --
Snack
5:00-5:30 pm -- Departure
As your child enters a classroom you will receive a more detailed schedule of your child's day. Each classroom spends time outdoor or in the gym, in group activities, etc. Near the door to each classroom the teacher will post daily and weekly activities, such as art projects, sensory experiences, and group activities.
Comparing FUMCC to DCFS Standards
In many classrooms, FUMCC exceeds DCFS requirements for student to teach ratio while maintaining lower class sizes. DCFS allows children from 6 weeks to 15 months to remain in the same classroom, but we feel the developmental change in this age range is too great and move our 12 month olds to a classroom where they can focus on gross motor skills without harming younger, less mobile children.
