FUMC Home


The First United Methodist Church Child Care Center opened in 1973. The Center, which is located in downtown Champaign, is licensed by the Department of Children and Family Services and is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children. We strive to provide a safe, nurturing environment in an aesthetically pleasing atmosphere where developmentally appropriate practices and curriculum are the basis of learning. Parents and teachers work together to be the best they can be in order to enhance the child's experience and appreciation of themselves and the world.

We serve approximately 150 families and employ a director and approximately 30 staff members.

First United Methodist Child Care Center is an outreach Ministry of Champaign First United Methodist Church.
