ASP - Appalachia Service Project

Appalachia Service Project is a mission trip opportunity for our high school age youth that happens each summer in June or July.

A group of about 30 youth and adult chaperones travels to Appalachia to repair homes and connect with local families. While there we stay in a center which is often a school or other community facility along with groups from other churches from across the country.

The preparation for this trip begins in the Fall as we fundraise as a group to make the trip affordable for everyone. We also meet together as a group to learn about the region, to learn construction skills, and to learn how to work well together as a team.

Almost everyone who has gone on ASP has had a great time and has considered it a life-changing experience of some kind or another. It's a great oportunity to both connect with others here and with those living in Appalachia.
